Jeep® Patriot: Your best bet for SUV lowest cost of ownership

If you’re in the market for an SUV and you want the best return on investment, your best bet is one of our SUVs, according to Automotive Science Group.

In the organization’s Best Economic Performance SUV ranking, the Jeep® Patriot came out #1, for the fifth year in a row.

In all, we have four vehicles in the top 10: Patriot at #1, Jeep Renegade at #3, Jeep Compass at #5, and Fiat 500X at #8. The Dodge Journey came in at a close #11.

Automotive Science’s Economic Performance ranking is a look at the lowest cost of ownership over a five-year forecast, taking into considerations purchase and operating price of all 2016 model-year SUVs available in North America.

In the group’s Best Environmental Performance award, the Ram ProMaster City was the best-performing commercial vehicle. The Environmental Performance Award honors vehicles with the highest level of protection for the environment throughout its life cycle, from raw material extraction and processing through vehicle end-of-life.
