Our First Year as Stellantis North America

For the last 12 months, we’ve been on an incredible journey to create this amazing new enterprise.

When I look back, it’s our competitive spirit that really stands out. Our global teams got right to work. We didn’t drag our feet. We didn’t wait or lose time. We set our path – established our purpose and values, then immediately began executing with passion, precision, and a unique spirit of global camaraderie and collaboration.

We touched off a revolution within our company, laying out plans for an electrified, software-enabled future, including an investment of about $35 billion through 2025.

All 14 of our global brands are committed to offering best-in-class, fully electrified products. Through Mopar, we introduced at-home charging units for Jeep® 4xe and Chrysler plug-in hybrid electric vehicles.

We formed a series of strategic partnerships to support our vision of a technology-enabled, customer-centered future, from designing and selling purpose-built semiconductors to producing battery cells and modules.

And while we set the foundation for our future, we delivered strong half-year financials and successfully launched a number of new vehicles across our global brands.

In North America, we introduced the three-row Jeep® Grand Cherokee L and the first electrified Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe. We also witnessed the rebirth of an American icon, the Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer, built with pride by our UAW-represented workforce in Michigan.

One of the most gratifying moments was our results in key industry quality metrics, a clear signal that we are on the right track, with focused attention on quality and our customers.

Our team also took intentional actions to further our long-standing commitment to support diverse communities, with initiatives such as the National Black Supplier Development Program, a program that offers tremendous promise and opportunity for millions of Black-owned businesses.

In 2021, we hired more than 5,500 Detroiters at Mack Assembly and other plants in and around Michigan. And, we on-boarded nearly 1,100 salaried employees to support our electrification and software strategies.

Our first year as Stellantis North America has been a busy one, with no signs of slowing down. We have a huge opportunity to scale and broaden access to technologies across all of our brands and markets to further enable our transformation to a sustainable tech mobility company.

So stay tuned. We’re just getting started.
