The Jeep® Gladiator sets itself apart from the competition with best-in-class towing, best-in-class 4×4 payload and open-air freedom, which is something only a Jeep vehicle could offer.
The Gladiator is the only true open-air 4×4 pickup truck and offers an easy-to-use premium soft top, two hardtops and dozens of different door, top and windshield combinations.
“You will never find another pickup truck that offers the open-air freedom that only a Jeep can offer,” said Chris Benjamin, head of Jeep engineering design. “Doors off. Top off. It’s something that is absolutely unique to the Gladiator.”
These unique features include a premium Sunrider soft top, which provides a segment-exclusive easy open-air option, which helps to quiet wind noise and allows for access to partial and full open top positions.
Gladiator Overland and Rubicon models offer an available three-piece body-color hardtop option. A black three-piece hardtop is also available.
The two freedom panels and quick-release latches on the hardtop enable fast removal and installation of the hardtop. All hardtops feature a manual rear-sliding window.
In addition to having the ability to remove the top, the lightweight, high-strength aluminum doors can be easily removed. These doors feature the Torx bit size stamped directly onto the hinge to eliminate guessing as to which size bit is needed to remove the doors. A tool kit with the necessary Torx bits to remove the doors is provided as standard equipment.
Similar to the new Wrangler, the Gladiator’s windshield can easily be folded down by using the included Torx bits to remove bolts on the windshield frame. After the wipers are pulled off, the windshield can be lowered.
“Fun modes of transportation don’t have windshields: horses, skateboards, dirt bikes and roller coasters,” said Mark Allen, head of Jeep design, FCA – North America. “It’s just more fun.”
